Norman C. Nelson, JR., M.D.
Dr. Nelson received his undergraduate education from Tulane University, New Orleans where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Economics in 1982 and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986. His internship was in Internal Medicine at University Medical Center, University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS from 1986 to 1987. Dr. Nelson’s residency was in Ophthalmology at University Medical Center from 1987 to 1990. His Vitreoretinal Fellowship was at Louisiana State University, New Orleans, Louisiana from 1990 to 1992. He received his Board Certification, Diplomat, America Board of Ophthalmology in 1991.
He is married and has three children.
